As moderator, our CEO Franky Lai, joined fellow CAHK DT Committee members at a discussion panel titled “The Winning Formula for Digital Transformation” at this year’s Cloud Expo Asia. In addition to introducing this newly minted committee, panel members freely shared insights and advice about the urgency to step up to the global customer-led DT trend, as well as implementation experience, insights and advice from different enterprise examples.
Mr. Lai has been a key figure in Greater China’s information communications technology (ICT) industry, with over 20 years in telecom senior management positions and the last 10+ years masterminding WiseSpot active venture into enterprise productivity enhancement solutions. He has actively participated in CAHK since 1998, assumed the role of Vice Chairman from 2006 to 2018, and since then their Honorary Advisor and a founding member of their DT committee. “Digital transformation is the utilization of technologies to bring together People, Data & Processes to create value for customers in order to stay competitive. By being a neutral ICT professional society comprised of virtually all major players in this area, CAHK is in the position to drive the development of a DT eco-system, an “Exchange Platform” of communication, experience sharing, collaborating between technology players, network service providers, the HKSAR and enterprises.” said Mr. Lai.

CAHK is a non-profit making organization incorporated in Hong Kong on 27 May 1983 following the announcement of deregulation of local communication products and services. It is the association for Hong Kong's communications industries, with responsibilities across broadcasting, wireline and wireless communications, and other relevant business sectors in the domain of information communications technology (ICT). It also frequently acts as the facilitator and enabler for bringing together various HKSAR government departments and other industry organizations with our member enterprises so that ICT technologies for digital transformation can be systematically and seamlessly deployed across different open-to-public services, ultimately benefiting businesses & consumers in Hong Kong.
